Ten weeks, no unpaid externship
Other programs run 12 weeks and finish with unpaid hours in someone else's practice. Ours doesn't. You're hands-on from week one, and done two weeks sooner.
Our 10-week dental assistant training runs inside a working Houston dental office — not a classroom. Lectures on your own schedule during the week, hands-on lab every Saturday. Ten weeks later you sit the Texas state exam and start earning.

Why students choose HDAS
Other programs run 12 weeks and finish with unpaid hours in someone else's practice. Ours doesn't. You're hands-on from week one, and done two weeks sooner.
You take the Texas state exam and walk out a Registered Dental Assistant. The prep course and exam are both included in tuition.
$3,550 covers books, supplies, BLS certification and your state exam. Pay in full, or put $975 down. No lender, no loan, no surprises.
The people who answer your call, run your campus and sign your certificate own the school. Three Houston campuses, no head office in another city.

Four steps
From first enquiry to your first job, this is the whole path through our dental assistant course.
Katy, Clear Lake or The Woodlands — whichever is the easiest Saturday drive. Sessions start four times a year and the program is identical at all three.
A few minutes online, and it commits you to nothing. We'll come back to confirm your campus and answer anything you're unsure about.
A deposit from $975 holds your place. It comes straight off your tuition, and it's fully refundable before your session starts.
Lectures on demand during the week, hands-on lab every Saturday. After graduation you sit the TSBDE exam — already paid for — and become a Registered Dental Assistant.
Real students at our Katy, Clear Lake and Woodlands campuses — training in working dental offices, taught by Houston dental professionals.
Near you

Spanish-speaking instructors in every Saturday lab, Spanish captions on every lecture, and Spanish on the phone at any hour. No other Houston dental assistant program offers all three.

What students say
I loved this RDA program because it thoroughly prepares you for a career in the dental field. You earn your BLS certification, build your resume, learn interview techniques, and even take the state exam as part of the program.
Jolynn was so helpful and did everything she could to make this course as easy and as non stressful as she possibly could. She's very knowledgeable and carries 15 years of dental experience.
Mendy was a great teacher! She really made sure we understood the hands on and learned it the correct way. Would definitely recommend this course to anyone wanting to have a career in the dental field. Fast & easy.

None. Most students start with no dental background. You need a high school diploma, GED or 12+ college credit hours.
That's what the format is for. Lab is Saturdays only and lectures are on demand — most of our students work full time.
